The Coveted Laundry Bag Print

In my humble beginings as a student in London, I used to have to lug my weekly wash to the corner laundry.  This was the print on my woven canvas
laundry bag.  Who would ever believe that I would ever want to see this print again, moreless, wear it.  Well, enough time has passed by, that I have become nostalgic about anything having to do with my youth.  Therefore, I absolutely love what Phoebe Philo has done with this check print.

Rihanna In Chanel Head To Toe

RiRi was able to bag herself a pair of Chanel ears too.  She let loose when she was at the Chanel boutique on 31 rue Cambon.  That's my favorite Chanel boutique in the whole world.  I think it must be RiRi's too, because she got an invite to go upstairs to CoCo's apartment as well as VIP gifts.

MSGM Is Patch Perfect

This brand hit my radar last season, and I've enjoyed wearing MSGM all summer long.  The moment I laid eyes on this top, I knew it would be perfect with these patch jeans.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

Customized River Island Jeans

These jeans have the Lo_we F/W 2013 vibe going on.  I felt they needed more patches to make these jeans pop.  I'm quite pleased with the end result.

This baby is going to be getting it's mileage this season.  I actually was in search for a red tartan bag, now I'm thinking, "what the heck was I thinking?"

Hermes Birkin & Justin Bieber

This is our good looking cat named Justin Bieber.  He has a sister named Selena Gomez (I call her Miss Gomez).

 Justin is making a run for it, he's getting scared  from the camera.  I rescued a pure grey Persian that had been badly abused, he's a couple of years older than Justin and Selena.  Unfortunately, Justin is starting to copy our grey Persian's paranoia.  If anyone knows of a "cat whisperer" here in Jeddah, please get in touch with me.

I have finally found a pair of twillies that I like for my white gorgeous Birkin.  I had a 5 hour connecting wait at Dubai Airport, which was fine by me.  They have 2 Hermes Duty Free boutiques, which made the time fly by. Remember, there are no hoighty toighty sales people in Duty Free.

 

 



 

Yes, I'm guilty of opening every single Twilly box in both Duty Free stores.

Willow Smith Works It

     G-Star Dungarees & Givenchy Shark Lock Wedge Boots

The moment I saw Willow Smith workin the red carpet in these dungarees, I knew I had to find a pair for my daughter.  Willow may only be 12 years old, but she sure has fashion cred in my book.  I know her dad has buku bucks, but trust me a stylist can only suggest and do the leg work.  Miss Willow has the final say, and makes it blatantly clear, she owns her own style.

I zeroed in on this Stella McCartney applique eagle t-shirt, unfortunately, the price made me give it a pass.  Anyways, I remember, I own a smokey grey Swarovski crystal eagle tee from my "Rock Chick" phase.  I just need to locate it somewhere in the depts of my closet.

 

***Useful Tip***

I hand wash my designer tees with Woolite  (the pink cap).  I use one capfull in a bowl of cold water and swish it around with my fingers.  I don't do any unnecessary rubbing because I don't want to risk getting a pinhole or snag.  Come on lets face it, none of us are workin a sweat in our designer tees.  Now, I never have to worry about my tees coming back from the cleaners dinghy white.

 

 

 

 

Chanel Cashmere Hat

I love this super soft cashmere Chanel hat.  This hat was sold the moment it was put on top of my head.  Funny how nostalgic a pom-pom can be.

Proenza Schouler PS1 iPad Case

My daughter was actually the one that found this beauty, she didn't even know that it was Proenza Schouler.  This red just happens to be her favorite color.  The front reminded me of my PS1 bag, so you can imagine my surprise to discover that it was a Proenza Schouler PS1 iPad Case.  This baby is so discretely chic, I use it as a clutch.  I can always spot my fellow fashionistas in a room, because they do the 180 stare when this PS1 passes by.  I understand why the launch of their S/S 2013 PS13 was M.I.A. without a picture in sight.  They wanted to create a buzz factor, very clever.  Unfortunatley, PS13 didn't do anything for me, even with the buzz factor.

Escada Navy Gloves

I've had these gloves for ages, so it was no big deal for me to cut off the finger tips.  Chanel boutique has a gorgeous pair on display to admire and inspire.

Sourouk Necklace

This necklace is by Parisian designer Shourouk Rhaiem.  She creates playful contemporary jewelry that bring on the "Wow" factor.  I remember meeting her a few years back in Paris at her first showing.  She shared with me pictures of her grandmother and told me how she gets inspiration from her.  I'm so happy with all the success on her jewelry line.

I first saw these on the Biebs (Justin Bieber).  My daughter found them when we were in the Dubai Mall, United Arab Emirates level Shoe District.  Imagine NYC Bergdorf, Barneys, and Saks shoe departments all rolled into one place.  Eau yeah, we're talkin shoe heaven.  Unfortunately, they only had them in mens sizing. 

Hubby and I were browsing when I found these in Selfridges, London, England.  They have a gorgeous shoe department too. I've been quite lucky, a couple of times I found 2die4 runway shoes there.  The word must be out that too many of us can't resist beautiful shoes.  Shoe departments are taking all the legwork out of the hunt.  This is fine by me, it's trying to decide on just buying one pair.  I don't have the willpower to walk away, I really don't. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chanel  Crossbody Bag
I'm so glad I saved all my Chanel bags for my daughter.  They are so well made, the lambskin leather holds up, and the hardware doesn't tarnish after all these years.  I'm just too obsessed with taking care of anything that comes in a pouch and beautiful box.   

This Chanel bag used to be an evening bag with a double chain.  I altered it into a single chain with the help of some jewelry pliers.  Now it's a convenient and "very in" crossbody bag.
